Frequently Asked Questions
Chiropractic Care
How often should I see a chiropractor? It depends on why you're being treated. For an acute issue, Dr. Nick Binder typically recommends 2-3 visits per week for the first 2-4 weeks, then tapers as symptoms improve. For general wellness, many patients do well with a maintenance visit every 2-4 weeks. Learn more about our chiropractic care.
What happens at my first appointment? Your first visit includes a health history review, a physical and postural exam, and a hands-on assessment to identify the source of your pain. Dr. Binder will walk you through what he finds and recommend a personalized treatment plan. Most patients are seen the same week they call.
Is chiropractic care safe? Yes. Chiropractic adjustments are a well-studied, non-invasive, drug-free approach to treating back pain, neck pain, and joint issues. Dr. Binder evaluates your health history and adjusts his approach for patients with osteoporosis, prior surgery, or other conditions requiring a gentler technique.

Regenerative Medicine
How many PRP injections do I need for arthritis? Most patients receiving PRP injections for arthritis or joint pain need a series of 1-3 injections, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, depending on severity. Results build gradually as platelets stimulate your body's own healing response, most patients notice improvement within 4-8 weeks. Learn more about regenerative medicine at StayWell Spine & Joint Specialists in Novi, MI.
How long do PRP injections last? Many patients experience relief lasting 6-12 months from a single treatment series, with some reporting longer-lasting benefit. Because PRP uses your body's own healing factors rather than masking pain, results tend to build over time rather than wearing off suddenly.
Am I a candidate for regenerative medicine instead of surgery? Many patients dealing with arthritis, joint degeneration, or chronic tendon and ligament pain are candidates for PRP or biologic treatment as a non-surgical alternative. The best way to know is a consultation, where we'll review your imaging and health history and give you an honest assessment.
